KEEP GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS FLOWING ALL WINTER LONG WITH EASY HEAT ROOF DE-ICING CABLE

You don't have to live in the Far North to have problems with roof-ice build-up. Ice-clogged gutters, downspouts and roof drains cause ice and water to back up under shingles and lead to substantial water damage.

Easy Heat electric roof de-icing cable prevents water and ice damage by ensuring an unobstructed water path from roof to ground level.

WON'T DAMAGE ROOF.

Cable clips attach quickly and easily to shingles without nails or hooks that can compromise roof moisture barrier.

PROVEN IN TOUGH CANADIAN WINTERS.

CSA certification assures you that Easy Heat has met stringent safety and performance standards during years of use throughout Canada.

OPTIONAL CONTROLLER SAVES ELECTRICITY.

Our optional Roof Sentry"' controller can pay for itself in less than a year by turning off de-icing cable during warm weather.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR ROOF FOR DE-ICING CABLE.

Cable installs over unheated portion of roof and inside gutters and downspouts. You will need to know the following dimensions:

1. Length of roof overhang (H in figure 1 below) with corresponding multiplier.

ROOF OVERHANG MULTIPLIER

12" (30 cm) 4.0
24" (60 cm) 5.3
36" (90 cm) 6.8

2. Length of roof area to be protected.

3. Number of dormers with distance up, over and down (C in figure 2).

4. The number of valleys at roof intersections (D in figure 2), allowing 6' for each.

5. The total length of downspouts at each end of the cable run (A in fig. 2).

6. The total length of downspouts along cable run (B in fig. 2) allowing double the length for each.

7. Determine your total cable need by adding:

Roof length (2) x overhang multiplier (1)            =

Total cable around all dormers (3)                      =

6' of cable x number of valleys (4)                       =

Total length of end run downspouts (5)             =

Twice the length of mid-run downspouts (6)     = ______________________________________________

TOTAL FEET OF CABLE REQUIRED       =

Specify the standard cable length closest to your total need because de-icing cable can not be cut or altered without creating hazard of electrical shock or fire and voiding the warranty.
